Patrice Wilson, Resident in Counseling

Have you ever felt like you could not move past the feelings of loneliness? Or feeling like past trauma is preventing you from being your best self? You may feel like you’re not understood or find it hard to break overwhelming patterns that impact you daily. There comes a time in your life where it’s time to break old habits and work on a better version of yourself. Seeking help is one of the most challenging steps and I am here to guide you through this process!

I am a Resident in Counseling with over 10 years of experience working with a variety of cultures with issues such as life transitions, anxiety, depression and adolescent issues. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) where we will identify current problems and thought processes to develop skills and change these behaviors.  My goal is to help you achieve realistic goals where you are able to cope in a healthy manner beyond therapy. I strongly believe that therapy is a balance and a collaborative effort to gradually see a change. I aspire for us to create a safe space when you feel heard and comfortable to let emotions flow.

Whether you are seeking therapy to work through a life transition or crisis or are looking for personal growth and new ways to cope with life and relationships, I can help guide you through this healing process. I am culturally competent and very understanding of different perspectives, personal values, and beliefs.  My appointments are accommodating to working professionals and busy parents, which includes telehealth and late evening appointments. I appreciate you considering me as your support and I look forward to working with you.
